Kazuo Chiba
For seven years a live-in student (uchideshi) with aikido founder Morihei Ueshiba at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo. At Ueshiba's instruction, in 1966, he moved to Sunderland to teach Aikido in Britain.
Founder of Banyu Hatten Aikido, Geoff Flather's first introduction to Aikido was with Chiba Sensei in 1967.
